The meeting point is at our base in Vouvray where you can sign up and prepare for your trip. 

All the trips start in Chaumont sur Loire and are accessible by all (age 6 minimum and ability to swim). 

Tours & Canoë Services :

  • Rental of unsinkable and self-bailing canoe or kayak or a Canadian canoe or a single kayak
  • Return by bus after the cruise
  • Waterproof container provided
  • A topographic map of the area
  • Possibility for supplies daily
  • Possibility to rent a tent kit

 

The Tent Kit includes :

  •  a tent for 2 adults
  • 4 floor mats
  • 1 gas camping cooker
  • dishes + utensils
  • one lamp
  • one tarp

ON THE SOUTH BANK :

CHAUMONT SUR LOIRE

 

 

Classified by UNESCO, the village possesses a feudal castle from the 15th century and small local businesses. You can also find a camping site there open from May to September.

THE ROYAL CITY OF AMBOISE

 

 

Classified by UNESCO, the city shines with prestigious monuments like the royal castle, the Clos Lucé where Leonardo de Vinci resided and la pagode de Chanteloup, a monument inspired by the Chinese culture and many businesses. A camping site, l’île Doré, is situated on an island on the Loire River in front of the city and is open from April to September.

MONTLOUIS SUR LOIRE

 

Multiple excursions throughout the city and the vineyards will allow you to fully enjoy these exceptional and natural surroundings. Winemakers will show you the production process and the many wines that belong to the AOC Montlouis label.

THE CITY OF TOURS

 

City of Art and History classified by UNESCO, you can discover its architectural treasures like half-timbered houses within the small and old streets of the city. Visits of the cathedral, the castle, the museum of Beaux-Arts and the basilica of Saint Martin are available all year long.

THE CASTLE AND THE GARDENS OF VILLANDRY

 

It was the last castle to be built by the river banks of the Loire River during the Renaissance period in 1536. The six gardens surrounding the building are spread out throughout 4 different levels, and are an invitation to the poetic and tranquil way of life we have in this region. 

ON THE NORTH BANK:

VOUVRAY

 

Known internationally for its wine’s AOC label, the city also is also famous for the underground habitations or troglodyte houses. You can visit kilometers of passages beneath your feet with wine tastings after, offered by the local vintners.

THE CASTLE OF LUYNES

 

 

Built on top of a rocky hill, the medieval castle of Luynes offers a unique and exceptional panoramic view of the Loire Valley. You can also visit the museum of fossils and minerals or attend a show at the year long circus of Georget. 

LANGEAIS

 

 

Located between the forest and the river, this castle from the 15th century possesses a working drawbridge, a suspension bridge and ancient Roman churches.
