Classified by UNESCO, the village possesses a feudal castle from the 15th century and small local businesses. You can also find a camping site there open from May to September.
THE ROYAL CITY OF AMBOISE
Classified by UNESCO, the city shines with prestigious monuments like the royal castle, the Clos Lucé where Leonardo de Vinci resided and la pagode de Chanteloup, a monument inspired by the Chinese culture and many businesses. A camping site, l’île Doré, is situated on an island on the Loire River in front of the city and is open from April to September.

THE CASTLE AND THE GARDENS OF VILLANDRY
It was the last castle to be built by the river banks of the Loire River during the Renaissance period in 1536. The six gardens surrounding the building are spread out throughout 4 different levels, and are an invitation to the poetic and tranquil way of life we have in this region.
ON THE NORTH BANK:
Known internationally for its wine’s AOC label, the city also is also famous for the underground habitations or troglodyte houses. You can visit kilometers of passages beneath your feet with wine tastings after, offered by the local vintners.
THE CASTLE OF LUYNES
Built on top of a rocky hill, the medieval castle of Luynes offers a unique and exceptional panoramic view of the Loire Valley. You can also visit the museum of fossils and minerals or attend a show at the year long circus of Georget.
Located between the forest and the river, this castle from the 15th century possesses a working drawbridge, a suspension bridge and ancient Roman churches.
